Peer Review Process

Research articles undergo blind peer review. Reviews are anonymous. The final publication decision is made by the Editorial Board. Other types of articles are reviewed exclusively by the Editorial Board.

RFRE accepts articles on a variety of topics and using a variety of methodologies, provided that the methodologies are rigorously applied and the results and conclusions are scientifically sound.

Open access policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content based on the principle that making research available to the public free of charge facilitates a greater exchange of knowledge, worldwide.

The articles are published under a Creative Commons BY-NC-SA license, which means that the document can be freely distributed, copied and shared, in a non-commercial perspective, as long as it is properly attributed to the authors and distributed under the same conditions.

Publication in the Revue Francophone de Recherche en Ergothérapie is free of charge for the authors. The articles are freely accessible to the readers.

Sources of support

History of the journal

At the initiative of Sylvie Tetreault, a small group of occupational therapists from different French-speaking countries decided, in the course of the years 2012-2013, to found the Communauté pour l'Avancement de la Recherche Appliquée Francophone en Ergothérapie (CARAFE).

CARAFE's first goal was to create a francophone journal dedicated to occupational therapy research.

The first edition was published in 2015.
